MARKETING TIP - Easily find new customers
I was talking with the owner of a company that helps very small businesses
develop and gain finance the other day.
We got onto the discussion of how we could sell the marketing concept to
one person companies that offer traditional trades and whether traditional
marketing methods could help them.
Of course targeted marketing can help everyone
Think of your local window cleaner, tree surgeon or gardner
They will already have loads of business locally but need more. Here's a step by step
plan to get more for a consumer business ...
1. Think of an area you are prepared to travel to.
2. Understand who the decision maker is - eg: Mother of children
3. Write a compelling introduction offer to this person to solve a problem they have - in color and professionally
written/ creative.
4. Make sure it is to the point and is probably the size of one sixth of
an A4 sheet of paper
5. Physically go and put the leaflet through the doors of the targeted area
You will find you will get a good initial response rate so ensure that you are
ready and return enquiries around very quickly to make those sales.
